Community Outreach

As a result of the work of the Center, there is a better awareness of HIV/AIDS and orphaned children, both in the community and abroad. The staff at Kondwa also work on other community building projects, such as trying to help caregivers set up income generating activities.

Psychosocial Workshop for Guardians - Oct 2004

This workshop was given to help the children's current caregivers understand the special and challenging issues children face when they have suffered the lose of a parent and how they could assist in children's emotional well-being.

Community Support of the Center

School Garden

Members of the community work together to maintain a food garden at the school.

Local Business and Church Support

Local Zambian businesses and churches help donate food and other services to the school.
